On May 5-6, 2007, Yapı Kredi Private Banking hosted a golf tournament at the Istanbul Golf Club. The competition was played in the Stableford format with full handicap allowance and in five competitive categories: three for men and two for women.

The tournament’s Award Ceremony and Gala Dinner were held that Sunday evening at the Rahmi M. Koç Museum. In addition to the competitors, the Koç Holding Group Chairman and Istanbul Golf Club Captain, Mustafa V. Koç, and prominent names in business and sports attended the gala.

Supported by Yapı Kredi Private Banking, The President’s Cup Equestrian Competition was organized for the first time in Istanbul on June 7-8, 2008. Gary Flynn and his horse “SIEC Comet” galloped into first place to win the competition held at the Kemer Golf & Country Club. Uğur Yılmaz and “Team a Minera” followed in second place while Ogan Sengel took third with his horse “Kindy.”

Sponsored for the first time by Yapı Kredi Private Banking in 2006, the International All-Star Equestrian Cup was held in Turkey last year with the sponsorship of Yapı Kredi Private Banking after the success of the previous events.

The “Shall We Compete?” (Cup’ışalım mı?) Yacht Races sponsored by Yapı Kredi Private Banking set a record with 82 competitors. The competing boats took off from Kalamış Setur Marina for the sixth “Shall We Compete?” races organized by Naviga magazine.

In the IRC 1 Class, “Mat 12” from Izmir sailed into first place while “Provezza 5” came in second and “Oğuzhan Too” placed third. From our Private Banking yacht, guests were afforded the opportunity to watch the race with Sadun Boro, the first Turkish yachtsman to sail around the world.

The race took place in the Kalamış, Bostancı, Adalar sea lanes June 14 and 15 with the award ceremony held on Monday evening, June 16, 2008, at the Istanbul Yacht Club.
