Yapı Kredi is one of the main sponsors of the Çatalhöyük archaeological excavations. To share the excavation’s details and artefacts with a larger audience, the Yapı Kredi Vedat Nedim Tör Museum in Istanbul hosted a voluminous exhibit in 2006 from May 26th to September 30th, during which time more than 40,000 people visited the exhibit. An extensive catalogue was published with photographs and illustrations, explaining and showing tumuli or grave mounds in addition to findings exclusive to this exhibit: human skeletons, a seal or stamp, an obsidian tool, a basket, bead-like clay, stone and skeletal remains.
